This Privacy Policy explains how Simsfeed collects, uses, stores, and discloses information relating to users, visitors, creators, and other individuals who access or interact with our website, applications, and related services.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Simsfeed, we may collect or receive the following categories of information:
- Account information, such as your email address, authentication identifiers, and connected sign-in provider details when you create or access an account.
- Profile information, such as username, display name, avatar, banner, tagline, website link, creator or player classification, and selected account preferences.
- User content, such as posts, downloads, images, collections, comments, asks, reports, feedback submissions, and related media or text you choose to upload or send through the service.
- Transactional and billing information connected with paid features, including checkout session identifiers, payment status, product selection, customer references, and limited order or subscription metadata received from our payment providers for payment confirmation, entitlement activation, support, and record keeping.
- Usage and technical information necessary to operate the service, including session state, language preference, content-preference choices, and limited browser-side storage used to support the user experience.
2. How we use personal information
We use personal information where reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, protect, and improve Simsfeed. This includes using information to:
- create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and maintain secure sessions;
- publish and display profiles, posts, collections, comments, and other community features;
- process onboarding, profile customization, and account settings;
- support moderation, abuse prevention, legal reporting, and platform safety measures;
- operate billing, paid entitlements, and checkout or subscription flows;
- respond to support requests, bug reports, infringement reports, and other communications sent to us; and
- measure service reliability and performance through operational analytics and site instrumentation.
3. Public information and community content
Simsfeed is a social platform. Certain profile details and content you submit may be visible to other users or visitors depending on the relevant feature, the visibility rules applied to that content, and your account or privacy settings. Information that is made public on the service may be viewed, copied, or referenced by other users, subject to our platform rules and applicable law.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Simsfeed uses cookies and comparable browser technologies to support essential site functionality, session handling, user preferences, guest content-consent choices, and onboarding flow state. Additional details are available in our Cookies Policy.
5. How information may be shared
We do not disclose personal information except as reasonably necessary for the operation of Simsfeed, compliance purposes, or where disclosure is authorized by the user. Depending on the context, information may be shared:
- with infrastructure, hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, and payment providers acting in connection with the services they perform for us;
- with other users or the public when content is intentionally posted or made visible through the platform;
- with service integrations used to process support, abuse, or legal-review communications submitted through Simsfeed; or
- where required to comply with applicable law, legal process, intellectual property enforcement, or protection of the rights, safety, and integrity of Simsfeed, its users, or third parties.
6. Third-party services
Simsfeed uses third-party providers to support important platform functions. These may include services for authentication and account management, cloud hosting and storage, web analytics and performance monitoring, payment processing and billing, and communication or support routing. In connection with purchases from our site store and Simsfeed Pro subscriptions, payments are processed through Stripe. Simsfeed does not store full payment card details. Instead, we receive and retain only limited payment-related information made available by Stripe, such as transaction status, checkout or subscription identifiers, customer references, purchased item or plan information, and related metadata necessary to confirm payment, provide access, maintain billing records, and handle support or refund requests. Those providers may process information on our behalf in accordance with their own service terms and privacy commitments.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business records, enforce platform rules, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect the security and integrity of Simsfeed. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the operational or legal reason for keeping it. This may include retaining purchase, subscription, and refund-related records received through Stripe for accounting, entitlement management, fraud prevention, and customer support purposes.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices
Depending on the feature involved, you may be able to update certain profile details, adjust privacy or content-preference settings, remove content, manage billing relationships through our payment provider, or contact us regarding support and reporting matters. Browser-level controls may also allow you to manage cookies and similar technologies.
10. Children and age-restricted content
Certain parts of Simsfeed may involve mature or adult-oriented material. We maintain content-preference and age-confirmation controls to restrict access where appropriate. Users are responsible for providing accurate information in connection with age-related settings and confirmations.
11. Changes to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technical practices, business operations, or legal obligations. When updates are made, we will revise the “Last updated” date displayed on this page.
